I was looking for a pair of heels to wear to my
fellow British Belle, Sophie's birthday party which holds the theme of
1950s Hollywood Glamour. I knew that I wanted original vintage as they always have a special feel to them, and to picture somebody wearing them 60 years ago to dance in and then giving them life makes me happy. My dress is a 1950s salmon pink prom dress, and as I was planning to wear pearl and silver accessories, I needed some silver shoes.
I had a quick search on Etsy (which is my go to for vintage) and quickly came across The Black Cat Boutique - a UK based store that holds clothing from the 1920s - 1980s. I fell in love with these gorgeous Cinderella shoes - silver heels and sole with a clear plastic top and silver cross-over strap detailing. They were around the £30 mark which I feel is an absolutely fantastic price. The condition is fantastic and they fit like a dream. I cannot wait to dance in them! I shall be sure to post some photos on here of the entire outfit.
