London Edge - Bloggers Party sponsored by Voodoo Vixen

If any of you guys have followed me for long enough on Instagram, you will know about one of my favourite dress combinations - the Voodoo Vixen Susie Meow dress and matching cape. So when Voodoo Vixen advertised on their Instagram (@voodoovixenldn) for bloggers to get involved with the London Edge event on 01.02.2015, I jumped at the chance to represent one of my top go-to vintage reproduction brands!

The first thing that I did when I arrived was head to the Voodoo Vixen beauty booth - full of babes doing hair and make-up for fellow bloggers. It was here that I was able to collect my dress that I had chosen pre-event. It was difficult choosing between the dresses that were available, but I decided on the Poodle dress. I love a bit of pink so this black number with fuscia poodles adorning every inch of this dress was a winner for me. It has a full circle skirt so I packed my petticoat to give me that extra umph!

When I tried the dress on I realised that it was a little shorter than expected, falling at just above knee length. Personally I prefer a slightly longer skirt, although this kind of length is perfect for those warm summer days so I am excited to wear it then! The halterneck is adjustable which is perfect for me - I am quite petite and clothes often swamp me. In fact, the bust fitted me perfectly! The neckline was my most favourite thing about this dress. It was an incredibly flattering sweetheart neckline, and I shall even go as far to say that it is the best-fitting neckline that I own.

The day consisted of feeling like a total retro queen - there was fizzy wine, photos, flying saucers, more photos and a goodie bag jam packed full of treats (and did I mention photos?!)

After the days events, we were escorted in old vintage buses to the party venue - Gem bar in Soho. Here we were met with free drinks, burlesque, VIP booths and lots and lots of dancing. I had such a great time with three of my beautiful British Belles and made a few new friends in the process which is what the night was all about!

One of the goodies that I wanted to show you guys in my bag was this beautiful yellow tropical hibiscus hair clip by Miss Candyfloss. I just had to take some photographs when I got home!
